We believe the most meaningful contribution we can make as a business is to volunteer our technology expertise and leadership. IT Directorship™'s philanthropic efforts are focused on creating sustainable change through education. We are fortunate to both educate mentors and teachers of our youngest generation, as well as use our technical expertise hands-on to provide access to a higher quality of education in the world's most challenging places. Our Story
IT Directorship™, formally known as Kerrisdale Consulting, was founded by Jeff Amadatsu in 2008. After working several years in various technology and business positions, Jeff became a freelance IT management consultant developing IT strategies and overseeing project initiatives for small to mid-sized enterprises (SMEs). The need for effective technology leadership within the SME market was evident, leading Jeff to seek out a diversified team of business-minded technology specialists and to launch the initial concept of IT Directorship™ in 2012.
With a core group that reflected the strategic makeup of a well-rounded IT management team, IT Directorship™ developed a proprietary “inside out” operating model, complete with an integrated framework of process methodologies, operating guidelines, and management information systems. This framework became the basis for the company’s diverse service portfolio.
In 2019, IT Directorship™ underwent a rebranding and relaunch, fine-tuning its operating model. This transformation set the stage for the formalized introduction of our comprehensive hybrid IT leadership programs, which have profoundly impacted the achievements of IT Directorship™ and its clients. The IT Directorship™ service model has not only demonstrated its sustainability in the face of economic challenges, it has also shown the value of fostering long-term client relationships. Also in 2019, the company launched an Equity Value Unit Plan (EVUP) to further instill an entrepreneurial spirit and strengthen the company's effort towards shared wealth creation for stakeholders, making work more meaningful and ultimately a superior client experience.
Today the practice is led by Tristan Harvey and the rest of the IT Directorship™ team - guiding the strategy and management of IT for businesses of all sizes across Canada and beyond.
