Cyber Risk & IT Controls Coordinator

Status: Full-time

Location: Vancouver (Hybrid Worker)

Position Overview

The CRC Program Coordinator is responsible for directing, organizing, controlling and monitoring a variety of Program, Project, and IT operations activities within IT Directorship under the direction of the CRC Program Director.  This includes coordinating internal resources, contractors, third-party vendors and/or client-related work activities to deliver through all stages of a Project, Program, or service request life cycle. The selected candidate must be creative, resourceful, detail-oriented and focused on meeting timely deliverables.  We are seeking someone who is looking to grow and work with a broad range of people, processes and technologies.  The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic, continuously evolving work environment rich in team camaraderie and servant leadership.

General Duties & Responsibilities

  • CRC Program & Projects

    • Work within a small team on ongoing IT project and program management activities including, but not limited to:

      • Oversee and coordinate program and project activities, including vendor and team follow-ups, schedule updates, and tracking action items.

      • Maintain program and project documentation, track risks and decisions, and drive issue resolution.

      • Provide support for IT assessments, audits and cyber events, including gathering and reviewing work products.

      • Contribute to periodical internal and external reports

      • Gather and analyze cyber-related KPI’s for cyber tools in use at clients

      • Contribute to cost/benefit analyses and assist in preparing business cases.

      • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and project team members.

  • Executive Support

    • Calendar management, including proactively addressing and resolving conflicts.

    • Organize and maintain inbox management, prioritizing time-sensitive emails and approvals.

    • Draft, edit, and distribute communications as needed.

  • Practice Support

    • Support internal and external initiatives, peer-to-peer collaboration, and staff logistical needs.

    • Oversee service requests, escalate as necessary, and communicate incident progress to clients.

    • Champion an exceptional client experience, fostering satisfaction and positive perception.

Position Specifications

  • Mandatory Experience & Skills

    • 3-5 years of work experience in ana related role demonstrating excellent analytical, organizational and problem-solving aptitude with responsibility at different stages of the Project life-cycle

    • Undergraduate degree in IT, Cyber security or recognized technical diploma combined with business/management education

    • Experience working as part of a team in a structured environment with defined targets and deliverables

    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to explain complex IT and Cyber concepts to non-technical clients

    • Strong personal integrity, business ethics and client service skills

    • Excellent time management and prioritization skills in a dynamic work environment

    • A good understanding of how technologies integrate to provide solutions to medium to large organizations

    • Experience and understanding of cloud-based solutions (SaaS)

  • Desirable Skills

    • Industry recognized certificates: PMI, Microsoft, Cisco, ITIL, ISACA, IIA, ISC2, Comptia

    • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 Suite, including SharePoint and business intelligence solutions

    • Familiarity with IT Governance and Cyber security frameworks such as: COBIT, ITIL, NIST CSF ISO 27001, CIS

    • Secondary languages (French, Spanish, Portuguese, etc.) are an asset
