ITD Site Manager (ITD Program Operations)

We are looking for candidates equipped with a broad understanding of IT to join our IT management operations team. We seek experienced individuals who are both capable and excited to oversee our client’s site IT operations, various business stakeholder relationships, and participate in a wide array of operational IT projects. We expect our team to deliver solutions through a combination of diverse, real world experience and a sense of urgency, commitment, collaboration and bias for quality results. We look for those which have a track record of success in challenging work environments while demonstrating a high level of customer service & care.
The ideal candidates are seasoned technical account managers who have a mix of IT and business experience combined with outstanding customer service skills. We are looking for those who are keen to be a backbone within our core ITD program operations and a recognized IT service delivery leader to a select portfolio of clients. This position is based in downtown Vancouver, BC, with flexibility for remote work. Daily collaboration with team members and clients, both local and abroad, is expected.
Responsibilities & Duties
Lead the operational health of IT, technology management, and strategic IT initiatives within a select portfolio of client sites
Manage key IT processes such as, but not limited to, procurement, asset, contract, & change management
Visit client locations and remotely liaise with staff at all levels of the client organization
Develop and manage relationships with third party IT vendors and service providers
Inventory, assess, and monitor IT operations performance reports, service levels, and KPIs
Understand and coordinate IT changes to existing IT solutions and processes
Analyze IT requirements within companies and provide independent / objective advice on the use of IT
Understanding of IT infrastructure, network design and IT support / management processes
Implement and monitor adherence to IT policy, process, and standards
Provide ad-hoc VIP white glove executive support
Provide project coordination for a variety of local and international IT projects
Assist preparation of proposals, perform risk analysis, and manage change control
Contribute to IT Directorship’s growth by delivering tangible and significant business value to our clients
Present a professional image in conduct, attitude and attire
Qualifications & Skills
Minimum 10 years progressive work experience, with a minimum of 3 years’ work experience in an IT management, account management, or service delivery role demonstrating excellent analytical, organizational, customer service, and problem-solving aptitude
Proven experience working with enterprise business systems and IT infrastructure
Exemplify a high degree of personal integrity and interpersonal skills and abilities
Exceptional communication skills and the ability to explain complex IT concepts to non-technical clients
Excellent time management and prioritization skills in dynamic work environment
Experience managing IT vendor relationships and service levels agreements
Provide a willingness to commit the additional time and effort necessary during periods of heavy workload in order to meet project milestones, operational event requirements, and the like
Desirable Skills
Industry-recognized designations/certifications such as: PMI, Microsoft, ITIL
Secondary languages such as Spanish or French are an asset
